Kickoff 2026

Here we are again.

Can you hear the whistles? Feel the heat? Taste the game-day hot dogs?

Kickoff 2026 is just around the corner—a brand-new season, a fresh opportunity, and another chance to chase glory. As the years pass, the days seem to move a little faster. My attention span gets a little shorter, and just about everything loses its shine when football season arrives. But football never does. And it's not just Sunday football that captures my attention. Friday nights and Saturdays still mean the most. High school and college football remain closest to the game I remember and the game I love. Every catch, every pass, every tackle, and every sack becomes part of life's big moments. When that final whistle blows and your team is on the winning side, there is nothing quite like it.The winner is never guaranteed, but outcomes are often more predictable than people realize.

Today's game is heavily tilted toward offensive production and highlight-reel performances. That's exactly why Wrecking Crews of America exists.

We study the game from a defensive perspective. We look for cracks in offensive schemes. We identify tendencies, weaknesses, and opportunities. We measure strengths and assets against defensive game plans and strategies. We believe that if you pay attention, the game will reveal its secrets.

Along the way, we're going to discover some stars.

Not just athletes with talent, but competitors with grit. The head-of-the-class leaders. The dogs among dogs. The players who combine natural ability with relentless effort and preparation. Those are the moments we love most.

I have never been fascinated by antics or distractions. I appreciate hard work, discipline, accountability, and determination that elevates talent into excellence.

And talent isn't limited to the players on the field.

Some of the most important talent in football stands on the sidelines or sits in the coaches' box. Defensive coordinators and position coaches carry enormous responsibility. Great defensive football requires putting players in the right position, aligning correctly, recognizing formations, and anticipating offensive intentions before the ball is snapped.

Nothing is more frustrating than seeing a defense misaligned against an obvious offensive look. Defenses already operate with less information than offenses. Every advantage matters. Every adjustment matters. Every assignment matters.

Then there are the special teams.

The hidden yardage. The momentum swings. The game-changing moments that can erase a great afternoon in a matter of seconds.

Kickoff coverage. Punt coverage.

Can we all agree on one thing?

Let's not give up a return touchdown this season.

Welcome to Kickoff 2026.

Welcome to Wrecking Crews of America.

Let's get to work.
